No account, and no profile of you

There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. Nothing on this site requires an identity, and no name, email address or password is ever requested.

What is stored in your browser

Your logbook — best depth and number of dives played — is kept in your browser's local storage under the key krillionunlimited:logbook. It is never transmitted to a server. Clearing site data removes it, and the game works fine without it.

What is sent to the server while you play

Starting a run requests a set of prompts; that request carries no personal data. Each answer you type is sent to be scored, because scoring depends on answer sets the browser is not given. The text of your answer is stored in anonymised, aggregate form together with the prompt it answered and whether it was accepted.

That record is what makes the game fairer over time: an answer that many people give but the answer set does not contain is a gap to fix. It is stored without any identifier that links separate answers to the same person, and the logbook described above is not part of it.

Like any web server, the host records IP addresses for rate limiting — stopping scripted abuse, not tracking players.

Advertising

No advertising code is loaded on this deployment. There is no ad script, no ad slot and no advertising cookie, because no ad unit is configured yet.

Analytics

No analytics script is configured on this deployment, so no analytics cookies are set.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices
